*TOMORROW 2nd Annual “IN” Formal Dress Event at Norman Lutheran Church Monday, February 20th, 2023 2pm-5pm If you are wanting to buy or sell a prom or homecoming dress come to Norman. This is President’s Day so the kids will not have school. Please email pastorkatie@gmail.com if you would like to help or if you plan to bring a dress or dresses!
*THIS WEEK Ash Wednesday Worship Service February 22nd @ Davenport Lutheran 7:00pm. All welcome as our lent journey begins. No meal served before Ash Wednesday service. Wednesday services following will alternate between Norman and Davenport with a meal served at 6pm. Worship service at 7pm. All are welcome! Watch for signups for meal volunteer opportunities
*YOU CAN STILL SIGN UP!!! Parish Family Skating at The Lights in West Fargo. Next Sunday, February 26th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. There is a sign up on the website so we have a count for pizza. Free for everyone thanks to a wonderful sponsor couple!!!
*NEXT SATURDAY!! Joe & Evelyn Brown Benefit at Davenport Community Center (school gym) on Saturday, February 25th 4pm-8pm. Meal, silent auction and more. If you would like to donate an item for the auction contact Nikki at701-799-2808. Both Joe & Evelyn are fighting lung cancer.

The Serenity Prayer:
“God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change,

CONFESSION & FORGIVENESS:
Dear Lord, I ask for your forgiveness for trying to do everything on my own. Forgive me for my enormous ego. I think I am my own self-made man, my own independent woman. I need no one, I can do it all on my own. I even thought I could earn my place in your kingdom, through my own good works and deeds. Today I am reminded of how wrong I am. That any good that I’ve done in this world is so small in comparison to what you have done, through your death on the cross, and the awesome power of your resurrection. Forgive me Lord, when I forget that it is you who “saves”, and not me. Amen.

Gracious God, we ask that you use this offering and all that we have for the building up of your work in this parish and in the wider world. Lord, our gifts seem small when compared with Your glory and Your majesty, but we know that you are pleased when we offer our gifts with thankful hearts. Take them and use them; take us, and use us too, and show us how to use everything that we have and are for Your glory. Amen.
