*Kids Club Spring Community Celebration Picnic @ Davenport Lutheran on Wed June 7th kid’s activities/games 4-6pm, community meal served 6-7 (all welcome, young & younger pirates alike) - Worship 7:00pm. Dress like a pirate if you would like, dig for treasurers, lob some cannon ball balloons, come walk the plank and let’s celebrate Pirates Who Pray! Enjoy a meal of the “catch of the day”, All welcome!!

PRAYER OF THE DAY A brief silence is kept before the prayer.

Let us pray. O God, on this day you open the hearts of your faithful people by sending into us your Holy Spirit. Direct us by the light of that Spirit, that we may have a right judgment in all things and rejoice at all times in your peace, through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

PRAYER FOR MEMORIAL DAY – Almighty God, you are our strength and our shield. We give you thanks for the men and women of our armed forces, past and present, and especially for those who have died while serving. May their sacrifices serve the cause of peace, and may our nation be ever grateful for their service. With your wisdom and strength guide our military's leaders, and give to all people a desire for justice and peace. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
