SUMMER WORSHIP Davenport Worship Wednesday at 7pm -- Norman Worship Sunday at 9:00am     

        

NOTE There will be no Worship on Wed July 3 and Sunday July 7                                                    

**There will be no Wednesday Worship in Davenport on July 24.  

 

*Wed, June 26 Worship at Davenport Lutheran 7pm. All Welcome! 


*Norman members- Next Sunday, June 30th following 9am Worship, we will be moving the pews out of the sanctuary to be able to work on the floor. We could use your help and muscles to lift the pews please!  


*Would you be able to provide a treat for the Monday evening AA meetings? * The rummage sale items at Davenport church will stay set up for another week. If you would like to look through the items, please contact a member for the entry code.  

 

*Parish Vacation Bible School during Wednesday, July 17th Worship at Davenport. “Jonah and the Whale” is bound to be a whale of a good time!! Kids, you may get wet, please dress accordingly. All kids are welcome!! Kids will start in Worship and be dismissed following children’s moment. There will be VBS also on Wednesday August 14th at 7pm  

 

*KLC Senior Community Fellowship Meal on Monday, July 15 at 11:45am at Kindred Lutheran. All local seniors are invited. Please contact Leah at KLC office 428-3630 to register for the meal by Thursday, July 11th. (so they know how much food to prepare).  Free will offering. Meal served by Uptown Eatery. 

 

*Davenport Lutheran is sponsoring, (along with several Fargo ELCA churches) a Hymn Sing & Concert in the Park with Rachel Kurtz on Wednesday, July 24th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Rotary Shelter in Lindenwood Park.  Our items to bring for the picnic are drinks, plates, napkins, silverware.  This wonderful event is open to the public for all to enjoy! There will be a free will offering. See flyer insert.  THERE WILL BE NO WEDNESDAY WORSHIP 7/24 IN DAVENPORT. Come join us at Lindenwood Park and enjoy the music of Rachel Kurtz!  

 

LEND A HAND UP* There is a Lend a Hand Up account fundraiser for Wesley Laframboise family, Anderson Family, Polly Roe Family and the Simley Family. If you would like to support the family during their health journey. Please continue to lift these families up in prayer! *There are opportunities to purchase tshirts to support Wyatt & Camden with portion of sales going to their Lend a Hand Up Fundraiser account. 

 

*Bone Builders Class at Davenport School. Monday and Thursday 9:30-10:30am. Kindred Class at City Hall Monday and Friday at 10:30am.  

 

* The Kindred Area Food Pantry update- Your generosity is overwhelming to our visitors-Food items, personal items, soap, shampoo & laundry items, and also cash donations, as they give out vouchers to Hawks Market so they are able to get milk, bread, meat or fruits and vegetables! All food pantry donations can be dropped off at Kindred Lutheran Church Monday - Thursday 9am-4pm. Any questions please call Leah at 428-3630 or 701-388-2124. 

 

Upcoming Fellowship opportunities… 

*Group trip to Medora! Join us, along with members from area churches. Spend a day in Medora, leaving on a Tuesday in August and returning Wednesday. Cost includes bus ride, pitchfork steak fondue meal, Medora Musical tickets, lodging at Badlands Motel and Gospel Brunch. Signup by July 21. A nonrefundable $100 due at signup- remainder due July 24. PRAYER OF THE DAY Let us pray. A brief silence is kept before the prayer. O God of creation, eternal majesty, you preside over land and sea, sunshine and storm. By your strength pilot us, by your power preserve us, by your wisdom instruct us, and by your hand protect us, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
