Meet the 2021-2022 Norman Lutheran Board of Deacons

The Board of Deacons is responsible for the spiritual life and concerns of the congregation. Those responsibilities include assisting with the distribution of communion, help to identify church service assistants (ushers, acolytes, readers, greeters), and visit our elders who may not make it to church on a regular basis.

A member from this group may be contacting you to ask if you are willing to assist with church service responsibilities such as greeter (hand out bulletins), reading scripture, ushering, and serving as an acolyte. Currently there is a “Sign Up Genius” established so that NLC members can look at their schedules and sign up for a Sunday (or more) that they are available. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b4aa8af23a5ff2-usher

To help move the sign-up process along, the Deacons will have a table set up in the narthex after church services for the next few weeks to assist members with registration.
