PRELUDE/BELL
WELCOME/ANNOUNCEMENTS: P: “The Lord be with you! R: and also, with you
GATHERING This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. The Holy Spirit calls us together as the people of God.
PEACE (ELW p. 152)
GATHERING SONG: Blest Be the Tie That Binds vs # 656 vs 1-2
PRAYER OF THE DAY: (unison)
Let us pray. ALL- God our creator, the resurrection of your Son offers life to all the peoples of earth. By your Holy Spirit, kindle in us the fire of your love, empowering our lives for service and our tongues for praise, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS (ELW p. 94).
In the name of the Father, and of the ☩ Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
God of all mercy and consolation, come to the help of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that we may confess our sin, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another.
Most merciful God,
ALL- we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name.
Amen.
In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for us, and for his sake God forgives us all our sins. As a called and ordained minister of the church of Christ, and by his authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the ☩ Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
KYRIE
In peace, let us pray to the Lord.
For the peace from above,
and for our salvation,
let us pray to the Lord.
For the peace of the whole world,
for the well-being of the Church of God,
and for the unity of all,
let us pray to the Lord.
For this holy house,
and for all who offer here their worship and praise,
let us pray to the Lord.
Help, save, comfort, and defend us, gracious Lord.
CANTICLE OF PRAISE
HYMN OF THE DAY: Spirit of Gentleness #396 vs.1-2
READING: John 17:20-26 The holy gospel according to John. ALL- Glory to you, O Lord.
[Jesus prayed:] 20 “I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24 Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 “Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you; and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
The gospel of the Lord. ALL- Praise to you, O Christ.

PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION
God of resurrection and new life, we come before you in prayer for the church, the world, and all who are in need. .
We pray for the church. Continue to inspire our sharing of the gospel and equip us to tear down the barriers we have erected. Make our welcome expansive, intentional, and open to loving challenge. Hear us, O God.
ALL- Your mercy is great.
We pray for creation. Allow fire to burn safely in habitats where it’s needed and quench flames when they threaten to run wild. Protect forests, prairies, and grasslands from destruction by natural forces or human misdeeds. Safeguard firefighters and rescuers in their dangerous work. Hear us, O God. ALL- Your mercy is great.
We pray for courts and legislatures. Write your commandments on our hearts, and inspire all who govern to lead with love over retribution. Unite judges, lawyers, and systems of justice in a desire for reconciliation. Hear us, O God. ALL- Your mercy is great.
We pray for the sick in body, mind, or spirit. Lift up all who have been bowed low by circumstances or internal strife. Bring to wholeness those who cry out to you in need. Hear us, O God. ALL- Your mercy is great.
We pray for this congregation. Raise up in us a deep desire to live out our baptismal promises and to support those of all ages in our shared journey of faith. Hear us, O God. ALL- Your mercy is great.
We offer thanks for the faithful departed who now rest in you. Let their lives encourage our own daily living. Console us with the promise of eternal life. Hear us, O God. ALL- Your mercy is great.
We commend these and all our prayers to you, O God, trusting that you are always with us; in the name of Jesus Christ, our risen Savior. Amen.

A Heartfelt Thank You,
It has been over 4 months since we said goodbye to our loving husband and dad, Phil Larsen, who passed away following a courageous 2 year battle with glioblastoma, considered a common and highly aggressive brain cancer. While our hearts remain heavy with loss, we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, kindness, and support we have received from friends, extended family, neighbors, caregivers, and our community.
To those who visited, called, sent cards, prepared meals, offered prayers, or simply sat with us in silence-please know how much your presence meant. Your gestures reminded us that we were not alone in our grief and gave us comfort in the hardest of moments.
We are especially thankful to our church family, the medical teams, hospice caregivers, and everyone who walked this difficult road with us. Your compassion and dedication were a gift not only to Phil but to all of us.
Though words can never fully express our gratitude, please accept this message as a heartfelt thank you from our entire family. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
With love and appreciation,
The Larsen Family
Darcey, Matthew, Andrew & Heidi, and John
