How to get the service on your television.

Hi all – I have been watching our church services on my TV and Pastor Kathy wanted to me to share my method so you can watch the services on your TV too - if you aren’t already doing so. If you have a Smart TV (Roku, etc.) OR a Streaming Stick (Amazon Fire Stick, Roku or other brand) the YouTube app should already be installed on either/all of these. If for some reason it is missing or doesn’t show up, you can download it. There are different work arounds to do this but my simple plan is this: 1. Open the YouTube app on your TV. The first time you use the app on your TV you will need to “pair it” with your phone, laptop or PC. You will have to follow instructions that show up on your TV. It is very easy and involves putting in a code on your phone, laptop or PC. If you need help, here is a quick lesson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6PWUrl2k0U Once you have paired your computer, laptop or phone with your TV you will never have to do it again!

2. Go to Norman Davenport Facebook page on your phone or computer: https://www.facebook.com/NormanAndDavenportLutheranChurch/?epa=SEARCH_BOX

3. Click on the YouTube link listed for the video you want to watch. For instance, this was the link for last Wednesday’s service. https://youtu.be/0sOiB-qnEGM Once you have the YouTube video open on your computer, tap the Play on TV/Cast button: (Tip: On the YouTube app on your phone, the Cast button is at the top of the Home screen. On your laptop or computer, it’s in the bottom right corner of the player.) 4. Tap the device you want to cast to. In my case, it says “Roku TV”. Your content will start playing on the TV. 5. To stop casting content, tap the Cast Button Disconnect. I’ve really enjoyed watching these videos on my TV. What great “stars” we have leading us each week! Thanks to everyone who has made these videos possible. Marty
